About Adirondack Chair Shop

Updated on

Adirondack Chair Shop is an independent buying-guide site for porch and patio seating. Despite the name, we're not a store and we don't sell anything.

We help you work out which kind of seat fits your space, and which models are worth a look. Our guides are written for homeowners with a porch, a deck, a small patio or a balcony.

We use everyday words. When a term matters, like HDPE, glider or weight rating, we explain it in a sentence.

What we cover

We cover seating for the porch and patio. That includes Adirondack chairs, porch swings and swing beds, outdoor rockers and gliders, and wicker, aluminum and bistro-style sets.

We also write plain guides on sizes, materials, cleaning and how much room each piece needs. And we compare well-known brands side by side, including POLYWOOD, VINGLI, SERWALL and GREENVINES.

How we work

For every product we cover, we read the specs, the maker's own description and what buyers often report. We check size, weight rating, material, assembly and what comes in the box.

Then we write guides, comparisons and clear picks. You can read the details on our How we research page.

What we don't do

We don't make or sell furniture, and no brand pays us to rank its products.

Adirondack Chair Shop isn't affiliated with POLYWOOD, VINGLI, SERWALL, GREENVINES or any other maker or store.

We don't give installation or engineering advice. A swing or a chair carries moving body weight, so follow the maker's manual for setup and weight limits.

We don't claim to have tested every product ourselves. When we pick something, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and buyer feedback.

How we earn money

Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

That never changes which products we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
